What we collect
When you sign up for our emails. If you join our email list (for example, the Sunday Stack or a free guide), we collect your email address and your first name if you share it. We use them to send you what you signed up for. Our email service provider stores this for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
When you email us or book a call. We get whatever you send us, like your name, email and message. Calls are booked through Google Calendar's appointment scheduling, so Google handles the booking details.
When you buy a sponsor spot. Payments are handled by Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number. We receive your name, email, and what you bought, so we can set up your spot and send your receipt.
When you visit the site. Like most websites, our host (Cloudflare) processes basic technical details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
Google Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site, such as which pages are read, how long people stay, what kind of device they use, their general location (like city or country), and how they found us. This helps us make better guides.
Google Analytics uses cookies (small files saved by your browser) and similar technology. We don't use it to find out who you are, and we don't sell this information. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We never collect kids' information. Our site is written for adults. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
- We don't add you to our list unless you sign up.
Links to other apps and sites
The Savvy Stack links to apps and websites we don't own. When you visit them, their own privacy policies apply. Some of our links may become affiliate links; we'll label them, and they never change a rating.
How long we keep it
We keep your email details while you're subscribed, and remove them when you unsubscribe or ask us to. We keep sponsor and payment records as long as we need them for taxes and bookkeeping.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from our emails anytime with the link at the bottom of any email.
- Email [email protected] to see, fix, or delete the information we have about you.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
